The clock ticks toward midnight, just like it does 364 other days each year, but on this particular night, we watch it with bated breath, we count the seconds, we cheer loud and long when the clock strikes 12, but why?

New Year's Day opens a clean slate, the old year is over, the new year is just beginning. All the mistakes and disappointments and discouragements of last year are done, gone, wiped out with a stoke of the clock. The page is blank ready for us to write on. We all make resolutions that this year will be different, it will be better, but for better or for worse, it is a New Year and I wish you Joy, Peace and Love in it.

This year, 2003, I actually did make some New Year's Resolutions!

• Read the Bible through This year
• Morning Quiet Time - Daily
• Finish both Novels and Submit them
• Write and Submit at least one Meditation a Week
• Keep working on Daily Bible Readings
• Walk at least 4 times a week building up to 5 miles each time
• Lose weight and eat right
